Live your life or live your social life?

Nowadays, I see more and more people bring their lives on social media. That's kind of strange to me. I was taught to live a humble life. The less private things people know about you, the more peacefully you can live. So, those people who actively live their social media life, what do they really want? At first, I think maybe they just want to record their life. It's a way for them to look back after years, same as my parent's generation saved the photo album. But then, it comes to a point that they not just record, they really want to polish the reality. They showed good sides, and hide bad sides. They say that's how they live positively. Is it? "Normal" life is when we have ups and downs. It's just like normal weather is when it has sunny days and rainy days (cloudy, stormy, etc., you get what I mean?). When there's only rains, it's abnormal. If life only has ups without downs, it's abnormal. Do they realize that? I have so many
